Lanzarote to become an “intelligent” destination

Ambitious plans were announced by The Cabildo recently for Lanzarote to become what it describes as an intelligent destination. Using a combination of data gained over the years, couple with new data gathering at tourist hot spots, the simple objective is to give tourists more of what they want. As part of the initiative, free Wifi will become more readily available on the island.

The annual WTM opened in London today. As in previous shows, the Lanzarote team will be based on a joint Canary Island’s stand. This year’s stand is more impressive than ever, covering 700 square metres, with an amazing 100 square metre TV Screen showing the islands in all their glory. read more »
