We’ve been at The World Travel Market at London’s ExCeL Centre this week representing Lanzarote. The show is one of the world’s largest travel industry shows, and of course it is based in Lanzarote’s most important tourism market, the United Kingdom.
Here are some facts about WTM:
Over 2 Billion Pounds worth of business is transacted at the show
Many contracts with tour operators for the coming year are signed at the show
There are more than 5,000 exhibitors at the event
In excess of 50,000 people will attend over the four days
The Canary Islands’ Stand
The Canary Islands have a large stand, next door to the Spain stand, with separate sections for each island. Lanzarote’s section is a large one, with plenty of literature, English speaking staff, and Miss Lanzarote helping out as well!
