Christmas and the end of 2014 is fast approaching, it’s been a good year for Lanzarote and the Canary Islands.
We are extremely lucky to have very faithful tourists who return to their favourite island year after year. We’ve also benefitted from first time visitors wishing to holiday in a warm destination, without any concerns for their personal safety as in Turkey & Egypt. Lanzarote and the Canary Islands had a drop in tourists last month, we just couldn’t beat the fantastic record set during November 2013, apart from this blip, it’s all positive news, here’s our recap over the figures for the last few months.
November
Lanzarote was down on visitor numbers in November, compared to 2013. The total of foreign passengers amounted to 167,332 during the month, which was 3,819 less than last year. The drop of 2.23% last month hasn’t dented the positive tourism figures for the island which have still increased significantly by 13.83% for the first 11 months of 2014.
