A fleet of 32 sailing yachts will set sail from Lanzarote on Sunday bound for Martinique.
The yachts are part of Atlantic Odyssey and range in size from 8.5m to 21m, including participants from 13 nations who are being hosted in the new Marina Lanzarote in Arrecife.
For some of the sailors this will be their first ocean crossing, so the programme of events this week has included seminars with practical help & advice to help them cross the Atlantic. Participants have also been out and about discovering the island as well as stocking up with provisions.
