An easyJet flight, bound for Liverpool with 156 passengers booked to travel, was unable to leave the island due to a technical problem yesterday.

Because the island is so busy at the moment, easyJet were only able to find enough space in hotels overnight for elderly passengers and those with young children.
Failing to secure more rooms, the airport authorities called the Department of Social Services at The Cabildo for help, with the remaining passengers facing the prospect of having to camp overnight at the airport without food and drink. read more »
